Jesse James Solomon Drops An Intricate Fire In The Booth

Ahead of his headline show at Brixton’s Phonox this Wednesday, Jesse James Solomon rolled through Charlie Sloth‘s studio for a fresh Fire In The Booth freestyle. We’ve fucked with Jesse’s laggard rap style since we first heard his JFSE project a couple years back, but it appears everyone may not agree. The comments section for the video has turned into a mixed bag, with one even asking “Charlie is this some sort of spoof??? 1 of the worst FITB I have seen by far”. We personally think that Jesse probably could have done better with this, but he is an artist very early in his career, and we have it under good authority that there are some extremely wavy contributions coming from Jesse in the future. Jesse’s style has always been laid back, and it’s difficult to ignore the fact that his bars are decidedly more lyrically intricate than many others, if not as ‘exciting’. Haters gonna hate! Check it above, and let us know your opinion.
