We’ve said it before, and we’ll say it again – CASISDEAD‘s videos are always next level. His latest video for ‘The Code’ is no different. With the description ‘filmed in 1995, Essex’, the video is CAS’s take on the events surrounding the Rettendon Murders (don’t click on the link if you don’t like distressing content) in December 1995. On this event, three drug dealers were shot dead in a Range Rover down a small farm track, with a large police investigation named Operation Century taking place afterwards.
Though two men were convicted of the murders in 1995, CAS thinks the police weren’t quite right, and attributes the shooting to a group of coked up girls on a night out.
The track itself carries a bouncy, dance-inspired instrumental, blessed with CAS’s monotone, vulgar raps.
