South east London’s Jesse James Solomon has released new track ‘City Lights’. After speaking about the fact that he’s recording a new album for months now, Jesse has finally made an official drop, with the new track only available to stream via Apple Music, Spotify etc.
Jesse’s work involves a mish-mash of styles, often bringing together jazzy piano loops and lazy boom bap drum patterns, with his lyrical delivery providing a sombre and sobering landscape. We first caught on to Jesse via his Jesse From SE EP a couple years back, and have gladly watched him improve. He’s already headlined shows at Corsica Studios and Omeara, and has another in June at Brixton’s Phonox (TICKETS AVAILABLE HERE).

‘City Lights’ showcases some of Jesse’s most powerful lyricism so far, as he gives insight into his younger years, and his relationship with his city. It has been picked by DJ Semtex as one of his ‘5 Tracks You Need To Know’ for 1Xtra, which will be some sick publicity for Jesse. We’re very gassed for the new album and we will see you there!
