A$ton Matthews – Coldest Night In Hell

VICE thinks that he is ‘West Coast Gangster Rap’s Best Kept Secret‘ – we tend to agree. Coming out of California, A$ton Matthews offers a rawness and authenticity many rappers try to replicate. In his new video for “Coldest Night In Hell”, we follow a young man through the mean streets of modern L.A, where guns and drugs are as rife as ever. The end brings a chilling conclusion, in what seems to be a violent gang initiation.

Matching the video and sinister throes of A$ton’s raps is the sinister instrumental from Velous, who looks to be a close collaborator in the near future.

“Coldest Night In Hell” is taken from A$ton Matthews’ long awaited Chapovelli album, which though doesn’t have a release date, appears to be creeping closer!
