Abiade – “The City” (Ft Stray Dog) [Video]

After receiving an exclusive premier on Tom Robinson‘s BBC 6 show, eloquent East Londoner Abiade impresses with deep new visuals for “The City”.

Set in the very same back alleys and dingy towerblocks of Bow E3 that gave birth to the genre of Grime, Abiade’s new visuals take a more considered approach at reporting the everyday struggles faced by inner city youths.

Highlighting issues varying from police harassment to alcohol abuse, ‘The City’ is an aptly deep expression of being down and out in a forgotten corner of London’s urban jungle. Juxtaposing imagery of Canary Wharf’s imposing skyscrapers to the council blocks of East London, Abiade’s new alluring visuals set this track apart from its contemporary London contenders.
