Cadet – “This Strict Freestyle”

Saw an article about four black girls who couldn’t get into the club / Saw a picture and them girls were buff / So tell that promoter to suck his mum”

I’m sure you’re all aware of the controversy surrounding central London club DSTRKT over the past few weeks regarding its blatantly racist door policies, but if you haven’t here’s a quick update – On September 26th of this year, 29 year old Lin Mei claims she was told by door staff at Piccadilly Circus’ DSTRKT to “line up across the road against the wall” to “see what sort of girls they are and what they look like”.

Following this, a text message conversation ensued with a Zalika Miller, who is one of the promoters for the club.

Needless to say, shit hit the fan after this, leading in Twitter uproar exposing the racist club, protests outside the venue, and Omarion pulling out a planned performance.

London artist Cadet has made his views apparent on the subject with new eloquently voiced track “This Strict Freestyle”, taking on Wiley‘s classic “Morgue” instrumental. This is music with a conscience, so give it a listen and let us know what you make of the situation!
