Jesse James Solomon – “The Ride Home” [Visuals]

Occupying a tantalising grey area between Grime and Hip Hop, S.E Londoner Jesse James Solomon‘s distinctly drawling flow is one of the most interesting and original UK sounds of the current minute. We’ve been there to two champion his two current projects Jesse From SE (2014) and The Ride Home (2015) alongside a whole host of other blogs who have recognised the oodles of promising talent this young man holds. Testament to his impact on the underground UK scene, Noisey have released a rare (Jesse doesn’t often show face in visuals) video for new-ish track “The Ride Home” off the most recent EP.

Directed by impressive South London videographer Hecktor Dockrill, the sleek and slyly ominous visuals follow Jesse around the streets and bars of Hamburg as he delivers his decidedly poetic own brand of UK Hip Hop. It’s not really like anything else we’ve heard, and we’re tipping you to keep an eye on Jesse in the near future. We’ve been loving this tune, and that instrumental is one that will stick with you for a while.
