Freddie Gibbs Shows He’s Not Afraid Of Snakes In The Game With “Pronto” Video

Freddie Gibbs proves he’s a pretty fearless mu’fucka in the new visuals for “Pronto”, the title track of the 3-song EP he dropped without warning last month. In a manner reminiscent of the infamous David LaChapelle photo-shoot with none-other-than Tupac Shakur, the Nick Walker directed video has Freddie swimming in a bath full of pythons (while smoking blunts and being massaged by women in thongs, obviously).

This one apparently looks to borrow motifs from the Rock video world, with Gibbs explaining to Fader:

“I wanted to approach making a video more so like a rock video than a rap video […] Nick Walker helped me achieve that vision.”

Gibbs has already been in overdrive over the past year, with the release of his acclaimed collab-album with Madlib Piñataalong with a whole host of other releases and videos, and even almost being shot to death. He is proving to be a juggernaut however, and apparently has another album in the working, though release dates are currently unconfirmed.
