A few weeks ago, we introduced you to Crouch End producer Beecher Productionz and warned you about the fire coming out of that area in recent times. Well, as if right on cue, this week Hornsey don Jiggz, a close associate of Beecher’s, released his debut mixtape Till A Trillion. Jiggz has really put in the work on this 21 track tape, which features Hornsey locals Bronson, LuvBox and Mostack (who you will recognise from his recent high profile banger “No Buddy”, which inspired remixes with Chip, Paigey Cakey and J Hus).
Production for the project comes from Beecher Productionz himself, alongside a whole host including E.Y, Ivy Leaguer, Jhalilbeats, Sojiboy, Cxleb, JTP, D.Williams, NickEBeats and Riddle. We’ve talked before about the very defined sound coming out of Hornsey and Crouch End, and Jiggz’ Till A Trillion is nothing short of a triumph for this particular niche. Jiggz has an instantly recognisable tone and flow, with spitting skills diverse enough to sound comfortable talking on anything from the life of the hustle, as on “Northside Baby Remix”, or talking emotional love affairs over R&B instrumentals such as on “LuvBox”. Jiggz is representing UK music in a strong way, and at only 19 years old somehow has the ability to spit life experiences that will resonate with a number of different audiences. We absolutely can’t say enough good things about this tape, and we’d be very surprised if he doesn’t have the labels pestering him for a signing soon!
