Shlohmo – “Beams” (Visuals)

Today renowned electro-bass producer Shlohmo released the chaotic visuals to his new single “Beams”. With new project Dark Red scheduled for release early April, the new track melds Shlohmo’s distinct ominous deep bass punches with uplifting drum rolls and wind chimes to create a track that somehow manages to be harrowing and fun at the same time. The visuals (directed by vine-star Jack Irving) is an anarchic and epileptic-fit-inducing swarm of jarring video clips following Shlohmo and his dons as they get up to alcohol fuelled idiocies round New York City. It’s a great track heavily complimented by the video, which according to Nick Melons (co-founder of Shlohmo’s label WeDidIt) illustrates “the rawness and nostalgic carelessness we associate with being young.”

Dark Sky is due for release on April 7th via Panther / WeDidIt. Watch the video for “Beams” above. Use the links below to hit up Shlohmo on social media.
