Joey Bada$$ performs new track ‘Like Me’ on Jimmy Fallon

Just over 2 years ago, Joey Bada$$ had his TV debut on the Jimmy Fallon show, performing single ‘Waves’ off Pro Era’s 1999 mixtape. He was supported by American hip hop/neo soul band The Roots, and the performance still demands unlimited reloads. The young MC oozed sincerity and this was probably the point when he really caught the attention of the mainstream audience.

Well, a couple world tours later, and Joey’s back on Fallon, promoting his new album B4Da$$Β which drops on his birthday Jan 20th <completely unrelated but look out for the new Novelist E.P with Mumdance which drops on this date, which also happens to be Novelist’s birthday>. This time round, he brings along BJ The Chicago Kid to perform new track ‘Like Me’, once again with live backing from The Roots (who I wish he’d tour with). I’ve been a bit iffy about the recent releases fromΒ B4DA$$,Β but this has given me confidence again that Joey’s not lost the plot.
